By Public Transport

 

From Kashihara- jingumae or Asuka stations of Kintetsu Railway

Take the "Asuka Village Sightseeing Loop Bus" (a.k.a. "Aka-kame bus). Get off the bus at Asuka-okuyama, Asukashiryokan-nishi.

For the bus timetable, please check the website of Nara Kotsu Bus.
Fare: ¥290 from the East Exit of the Kashihara-jingu Station, taking about 20 minutes. ¥360 from the Asuka Station, taking about 30 minutes.

From Sakurai stations of JR and Kintetsu Railway

Nara Kotsu Bus Lines(No. 36 route: Bound for Asuka-okuyama, Asukashiryokan-nishi). Get off the bus at the Asuka Historical Museum bus stop.

Fare: ¥350. It takes about 15 minutes.

By Car

 

Free parking lot for visitors (capacity: 11 standard-size cars) is available at the Asuka Historical Museum. There are some pay parking lots nearby.

About 30 minutes from the Katsuragi Interchange of the Minami-hanna Motorway
About 40 minutes from the Tenri Interchange of the Nishimeihan Expressway
About 35 minutes from the Koriyama Interchange of the Keinawa Expressway

By Rental cycle

There are bicycle rental shops in front of Kashihara-jingumae, Asuka and Sakurai stations of the Kintetsu Railway.

About 15 minutes from Kashihara-jingumae Station; about 20 minutes from Asuka Station; and 25 minutes from Sakurai Station

No permission is needed when you take photos of the garden and the exhibits inside the museum for your private use.
* Do not take photos of exhibits with a "No Photography is Allowed" sign.
* No photography is allowed inside the museum using flash, additional lighting, tripod, self-shooting stick, etc.
