These series of reports are published for the archaeological materials collected by the late Dr. Sugao Yamanouchi [1902-1970]. He was an excellent prehistorian who established the chronology of Jomon Pottery. His collections are fundamental to make his chronology of Jomon Pottery and they are excavated by him.
Aims of this report are as follows:
1) Reconstruction of the excavation by Dr. Yamanouchi.
2) Analysis of the Jomon Pottery and Stone Tools from the several locations in the Adzuchi Jomon Site.
3) Interpretation of chronological study of Kasuhata Type of Jomon Pottery in Initial Jomon Period.
4) Interpretation of Adzuchi Loc. N upper layer Type of Jomon Pottery in Early Jomon Period.
5) Dating of Ketsujo Earings from the Adzuchi Jomon Site.
