三尊石

triad stones


A stone arrangement composed of a large stone in the center and two smaller ones to its right and left. The central one represents the main figure of a Buddhist trinity, and the side ones the attendants. Representative combinations are as follows: Shaka Nyorai at the center with Fugen Bosatsu and Monju Bosatsu on the sides; Yakushi Nyorai with Nikkō Bosatsu and Gakkō Bosatsu; Amida Nyorai with Kannon Bosatsu and Seishi Bosatsu.
