Ennan teien
燕庵庭園

Ennan garden

Ennan is the name of the tea house of the Yabunouchi line, head family (iemoto) of the Yabunouchi school of tea ceremony. When the family moved to its present location in 1640, a tea garden as well as a teahouse are presumed to have been moved from the former mansion of Furuta Oribe. It is well known as a triple tea garden and highly appreciated for the refined design of its waiting bench, stepping stones, etc.
