A waiting facility made in a tea garden for a tea ceremony. It is normally built in a light and easy style with a lean-to roof and a tatami or plain board bench surface. Stones called kijinseki (guest of honor stone) and renkyakuseki (accompanying guests' stones) are placed in front of it. It is sometimes simply called koshikake (bench).
