A key stone placed between the crouching basin arrangement and the teahouse in an inner tea garden, for gazing at the name plaque hanging above the teahouse entrance. A rather large flat stone is used, and placed a step back from the other stepping stones. Guests are expected to appreciate not only the plaque but also the entire teahouse and garden from this stone, which is also called monomi ishi.
