A garden style of the Edo period integrating the various styles of pond garden, tea garden, and dry landscape garden. In gardens of this style, different views can be enjoyed one after another by promenading along the path circling a pond. The garden of the Katsura detached palace is a typical example of this style, which also includes many daimyo gardens.
