Fudōseki
不動石

stone of Fudō


An alternate name for the cascade-supporting stone (takisoe ishi), an important key stone of a waterfall stone arrangement. It is generally placed as the principal stone of the arrangement to the side of a waterfall that is low and wide. It is named after the esoteric Buddhist deity Fudō Myōō.
