A type of wooden gate, set up at the border between the inner and outer tea gardens. Its door is made with a frame of round bamboo, onto which a lattice of split bamboo is woven in a diamond or basketwork pattern, and tied with hemp-palm rope. The door is lifted from the bottom and propped open with a supporting pole. It is also called hajitomi.
