手燭石

candlestick stone


One of the key stones comprising a crouching basin arrangement in tea gardens. It is a flat stone for placing a candlestick or lantern when tea ceremonies take place after dark. It is positioned to the left of the water basin, a little bit lower than the hot-water vessel stone to the right.
